The client

Animated Figurines Malta is a collectibles shop on Valley Road, Birkirkara. It sells Funko POP!s, anime figures and other collectibles, in the shop and online.

The brief

The shop had outgrown its Wix website. Stock was tracked separately from online sales, orders from Facebook and Instagram were kept by hand, and pre-orders were hard to manage. They wanted a fast website that customers enjoy browsing. They also wanted one system behind it for stock and orders, whether a sale happens online, in the shop or in a message.

What we built.

01 · 7 parts

The shop website

  1. Home page with banner slides, themed section banners, a brands carousel and the shop's Instagram feed
  2. Shopping by product type, fandom, brand, new arrivals, deals and pre-orders, with search
  3. Product pages with POP! number, edition, size and pre-order month
  4. Checkout with card payment through Stripe: delivery to Malta or Gozo, express delivery in Malta, or click & collect; baskets that mix in-stock items and pre-orders are split into separate deliveries, each charged on its own.
  5. Customer accounts with past orders and loyalty points. Points from the old Wix shop move over automatically when a customer signs up with the same email.
  6. Wishlist, a Mystery POP! page, and short, plain legal pages
  7. Set up for Google: product and store data, a sitemap, and links from the old Wix site that still open the right product

The stock and order system

  1. One place for every order: website orders, pay-in-shop reservations, and sales made on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or by phone
  2. Stock comes off as soon as an item is sold, wherever it was sold, and the system won't let an item sell twice
  3. Pre-orders are filled oldest first when new stock arrives
  4. Refunds and returns, packing slips, delivery-run lists, reorder lists and labels
  5. A dashboard with sales, best sellers, orders to handle and stock value
  6. Staff accounts, so the owner decides who can see and change what
  7. A one-click import that moved the whole Wix catalogue across, photos included
